As part of this transformation, they are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead one of their most widely used clinician-facing digital platforms — a secure web and mobile product used daily by medical professionals to access and manage patient information. This platform is a critical touchpoint within the broader digital ecosystem and plays a direct role in supporting clinical decision-making and patient care.
The Role
The Engineering Manager will provide day-to-day technical and people leadership for a cross-functional engineering team responsible for delivering high-quality digital products and platform components.
Working closely with Product Managers, Delivery Leads and A
rchitects, this role balances hands-on technical direction with leadership of team performance, coaching and capability uplift. The focus is on delivering secure, scalable and maintainable software while fostering a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering & Delivery Leadership
- Lead end-to-end software delivery across assigned teams, ensuring alignment to engineering standards and delivery frameworks
- Oversee design, development, testing and deployment of secure, scalable and high-performing digital solutions
- Drive continuous improvement across engineering practices including CI/CD, automation, quality and observability
- Monitor delivery metrics (velocity, quality, reliability) and use data to improve predictability and performance
- Ensure alignment between team delivery outcomes and broader product or portfolio priorities
People Leadership & Capability
- Lead, coach and mentor engineers to support performance, growth and engagement
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement
- Support career development and capability uplift across the team
- Contribute to the broader engineering practice by sharing learnings and helping standardise ways of working
Stakeholder & Product Collaboration
- Partner closely with Product and Delivery teams to define and deliver high-value, user-focused features
- Work with Architecture to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards and long-term technical strategy
- Proactively manage risks, dependencies and delivery challenges
- Communicate progress, technical decisions and delivery updates clearly to stakeholders
