The Head of Digital Platforms and Content is responsible for leading content production, digital operations, and governance across the organisation, managing a team of 22 within the Digital Centre of Excellence (COE). This role plays a critical part in shaping and governing digital content, managing website infrastructure, ensuring compliance, and optimising digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Governance & Compliance
- Ensure all digital content meets regulatory and legal requirements, particularly in response to industry reforms and governance mandates.
- Maintain a compliance framework that safeguards content publishing processes.
- Oversee customer remediation and compensation content to ensure governance and accuracy.
- Facilitate content production across 50+ content owners, working closely with legal, compliance, and business stakeholders.
- Strategic Vision & Business Impact
- Shift the function from a technical migration focus to a commercially-minded content and digital operations strategy.
- Drive alignment between content initiatives and business KPIs, delivering measurable business value beyond operational execution.
- Lead process simplification and efficiency improvements within digital content operations.
- Develop a robust content framework to ensure content lifecycle management and auditing capabilities.
- Technology & Digital Operations
- Work within a global website platform and governance model, optimising operations while ensuring alignment with global constraints.
- Oversee Adobe AEM content management and collaborate with technology teams to integrate content with marketing automation and personalisation strategies.
- Support A/B testing, CRO, and tailored experiences, working with digital performance teams to enhance personalisation efforts.
- Explore opportunities to scale Conversational AI, expanding its role in content and digital engagement.
- Leadership & Team Management
- Lead a team of 22, including copywriters, digital producers, compliance managers, and operations specialists.
- Provide strategic direction across content governance, personalisation, and digital content operations.
- Mentor and develop future digital leaders, ensuring a high-performing, customer-focused culture.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Industry Expertise – Must have experience in a highly regulated industry such as banking, insurance, superannuation, utilities, or telecommunications.
- Matrix Organisation Experience – Ability to work in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment with global governance constraints.
