The Senior Content Design Manager will lead a team of Principal Content Designers and Lead Content Designers to develop and implement strategies and standards that drive content consistency and quality across all digital channels for a leading health insurer.
This person will lead the content design team to manage and evolve ways in which content designers work.
- Content design strategy & leadership – Provide strategic insights and advisory services in support of key market unit digital enablers and strategic business initiatives.
- Content design practice delivery – Lead marketing-focused & product-focused content designers assigned and embedded across the organisation
- Content design excellence – Combine broad skills in user-centred content design, content modelling, and SEO to make digital tools and assets clear, concise, useful, and effective.
- ContentOps leadership – Continuously streamline both marketing-focused & product- focused content design processes to improve scalability, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Resource management and planning – Align headcount to our roadmap, by ensuring the right resources are allocated, at the right times. Ensure company priorities are suitably supported by the skills and strengths required to execute.
As Senior Content Design Manager you’ll help shape the
next chapter in how our customers interact digitally. The Senior Content Design Manager is critical to building a sustainable world-class design capability.
You will:
- Have exceptional presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate content design decisions to stakeholders, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Tell a great story about what might be possible and why this is important, to get buy-in from all levels and have the tenacity to see the work through.
- Strategically connect various design phases of interconnected initiatives. You’ll develop and deliver high-quality presentations to help communicate future state vision and missions.
- Deliver with an inclusive leadership style, and industry best practice expertise.
- Identify influential individuals and teams across the organisation, and help them deepen their understanding, support and practice as it relates to content.
- Facilitate in sponsor/stakeholder workshops, on topics including things like content design, content modelling, design thinking and other co-design activities.
- Align capability-building efforts with other functions, including CVDP, Legal, Policy, Product, CX, operations, engineering, data, portfolio and others.
- Manage content design insights, and make data accessible throughout the team and the organisation. You’ll socialise success stories, and ensure that the overall impact of user research is known and appreciated.
- Deliver data-driven content across multiple channels and touchpoints at all times, ensuring our content is simple, user-centric and that it complies with legal and regulatory standards.
- Manage global artefacts, documentation, and strategic materials (like product writing guides, terminology lists, interface language guidelines, glossaries and taxonomies) to scale high-quality and consistent content.
- Provide direction on information architecture, site-wide navigation, and SEO content strategies and tactics.
- Build expertise and knowledge of content modelling and content type definition, driving structured content and metadata, in close collaboration with Content Production and SEO teams.
