Our client, a reputable non-profit organisation are on the lookout for a UI Designer to join their growing design practice.
Placing the customer at the heart of everything you do, you’ll design experiences based on a deep understanding of our customer’s goals and needs. Working end to end from discovery through to delivery, this is an opportunity to own projects and make a real difference in the lives of our customers.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate closely with a cross functional team of Product Owners, Business Analysts, UX Designers, Architects, Engineers and other experts across the business and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience.
- Executing all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering.
- Conceptualising original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks.
- Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering.
- Conduct user testing to ensure great usability of your designs.
- Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards.
- Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders.
- Work closely with BA’s and UX designers and create wireframes when needed, storyboards, user flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- End to end experience of understanding design activities across the HCD- process including design research, iterative design and prototyping and facilitation of usability testing.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong design experience with recent experience as a designer.
- Demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio.
- Experience with systems thinking and design systems.
- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
- Proficiency in Digital Design tools like Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, prototyping and collaboration tools such as Mural.
- Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders.
- Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Human Computer-Interaction or equivalent practical experience.
- Thrives working in a fast paced, agile environment and resilience in the face of shifting priorities and direction.
